earthly Delights

Fantasma presents Earthly Delights — an immersive contemporary circus performance where circus, dance, performance art, and live music merge to create a world unknown.

You are now entering a cosmos. Temptation has lured you into a garden of earthly delights. Here stands Eden — the judgement of all mankind. She bites the apple, choosing earth, her flower blossoms, and the world dissipates and we imagine another realm.

Born in Berlin in 2024 and first premiered during the renowned Lange Nacht der Museen inside the striking architecture of the Museum of Communication, Earthly Delights is imagined and directed by Fifi Fantôme. Inspired by Hieronymus Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights, the performance reimagines this iconic vision through a queer lens, transforming its scenes of temptation, pleasure, and chaos into a radical celebration of queer bodies and futures.

Composer Lihla shapes the atmosphere with an original live score on cello and vocals, alongside a powerhouse ensemble of artists: Fifi Fantôme, Justin Thesis, Sabina Moe, Jade Lee, and Oskar Mauricio. Earthly Delights invites the audience into a parallel world where nature, myth, and ritual collide. Here, art becomes action, desire becomes ritual, and celebration becomes manifesto.

Following its debut, Earthly Delights had a triumphant, sold-out second staging on April 26 at Säälchen, Holzmarkt 25, one of Berlin’s most iconic venues for immersive and experimental art. The performance expanded in scale and depth, captivating the audience with its hypnotic visuals, visceral physicality, and raw collective energy. With each iteration, Earthly Delights grows — not just as a show, but as a living organism.

Forbidden Fruit

In 2023 Fifi directed "Forbidden Fruit,” exploring the boundaries of Christian symbolism and reimagining the Eucharistic celebration as a radical, queer act of inclusion. The performance explored the theme of queer and transgressive possibilities of the Christian mythology surrounding the Garden of Eden, the age-old story of temptation and desire where the forbidden fruit reigns supreme.
